A simple and delicious recipe for homemade focaccia bread that requires no kneading.

  • 2 cups warm water
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 packet instant yeast

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, yeast, and sugar.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil to the mixture, and stir until combined.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise for 12-18 hours at room temperature.
  4. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  5. Transfer the dough to a well-oiled baking pan and spread it out gently.
  6. Using your fingers, make dimples all over the surface of the dough.
  7. Let it rest for another 20-30 minutes.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool before slicing.

Notes

  • For added flavor, sprinkle herbs like rosemary or sea salt on top before baking.
  • This bread is best served fresh but can be stored for up to 3 days.
