Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream, milk, and sugar until warm.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and cornstarch until smooth.
  4. Slowly add the warm mixture to the egg mixture while stirring to temper the eggs.
  5. Pour the custard back into the saucepan, and cook while stirring until thickened.
  6. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract.
