Sticky Asian Glazed Meatballs

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup green onions, chopped
  • ¼ cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • ¼ cup sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and green onions.
  3. Form the mixture into small meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to create the glaze.
  6. Once meatballs are cooked, drizzle the glaze over them and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  7. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Serve warm with rice or noodles.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less hoisin sauce.
  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the glaze.
