  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thin strips.
  2. Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  3. Drain and pat the potatoes dry with a paper towel.
  4. In a large bowl, mix together garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Toss the dried potato strips in the spice mixture until coated evenly.
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large pot over medium heat.
