  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened. Stir in cheeses until melted.
  5. Add cooked macaroni and turkey bacon to the cheese sauce; mix well.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • For extra creaminess, add a splash more milk when mixing in the cheese sauce.
