  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin spice
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, pumpkin puree, eggs, vegetable oil, and pumpkin spice until well blended.
  3. Pour half of the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the batter in the baking dish.
  6. Pour the remaining batter over the cream cheese layer.
  7. If desired, sprinkle chopped pecans on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool slightly before serving.
