Overnight Focaccia

A simple and delicious recipe for making focaccia at home with minimal effort and maximum flavor.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams all-purpose flour
  • 350 ml warm water
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, sugar, and instant yeast.
  2. Add the warm water and 2 tablespoons of olive oil, stirring until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise for 12-18 hours at room temperature.
  4. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  5. Oil a baking sheet and transfer the risen dough onto it, stretching it gently to fit the pan.
  6. Let it rest for another 30 minutes, then dimple the surface with your fingers.
  7. Drizzle with remaining olive oil and sprinkle with salt before baking for 20-25 minutes.
