One-Pot Smoked Sausage And Rice

  • 1 pound smoked sausage
  • 2 cups long-grain rice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup frozen peas

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper, and sauté until soft.
  3. Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the sliced smoked sausage and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in the rice, chicken broth, paprika, black pepper, and salt.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is cooked.
  7. Stir in the frozen peas and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
