- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups beef broth
- 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, beef broth, broken lasagna noodles, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook until noodles are tender.
- Stir in ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese until melted.
- Serve hot, garnished with remaining mozzarella.
