  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain.
  3. In a skillet, cook the ground beef and Italian sausage until browned; drain.
  4. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, eggs, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce, then spread 1/3 of the ricotta mixture, followed by the meat and 1 cup of mozzarella.
  7. Repeat layers twice more, finishing with noodles on top and remaining marinara sauce.
  8. Sprinkle the top with Parmesan and mozzarella cheese.
  9. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Let it sit for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add Italian herbs to the meat mixture.
  • Let the lasagna sit longer for easier slicing.
