  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 2 cups egg noodles
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, sauté the onions, garlic, carrots, and celery until softened.
  2. Add the chicken breasts, chicken broth, thyme, and basil. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. Remove chicken, shred it, and return it to the pot.
  4. Add the egg noodles and cook until tender, about 8 minutes.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
