Ingredients

  • 1 cup hazelnuts
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spread hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Let the hazelnuts cool, then rub off the skins.
  4. Add toasted hazelnuts, cocoa powder, maple syrup, coconut oil, vanilla extract, and salt to a food processor.
  5. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as necessary.
  6. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • For a sweeter nutella, adjust the amount of maple syrup to your taste.
  • This spread can be used in baking as well!
