Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with buttermilk and vanilla until fully combined.
  6. Fold in the butterscotch sauce.
  7. Scoop the batter into the lined cupcake tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
