  • 2 cups pasta (penne or fusilli)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and garlic to the skillet, cooking until softened.
  4. Stir in the tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to package instructions, then drain.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the beef mixture.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
