Grandma's Ground Beef Casserole Recipe

A hearty and comforting casserole that brings together ground beef, pasta, and cheesy goodness in one dish.

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups egg noodles
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink.
  3. Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. In the meantime, cook the egg noodles according to package directions; drain.
  5. Combine the noodles with the beef mixture and mix well.
  6. Transfer to a greased casserole dish and top with cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
