  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs (like parsley and basil)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and just 2 tablespoons of melted butter, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. In a small pan, sauté minced garlic in the remaining butter until fragrant.
  7. Fold sautéed garlic, Parmesan, and herbs into the risen dough.
