  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups chopped apples
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped apples and walnuts.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool before serving.
