French Onion Chicken Orzo Casserole

A delicious and comforting casserole featuring French onion flavors with chicken and turkey bacon.

  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, diced
  • 1/2 cup turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 cup French onion soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Swiss or Gruyère)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, combine the orzo, chicken broth, cooked chicken, turkey bacon, French onion soup, black pepper, and thyme.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and sprinkle cheese on top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • Add more cheese on top for extra flavor.
  • You can substitute the chicken for another protein if preferred.
