Floral Veggie Focaccia

Ingredients

  • 500 grams all-purpose flour
  • 300 ml warm water
  • 7 grams dry yeast
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • assorted fresh vegetables for topping (such as bell peppers, zucchini, cherry tomatoes)
  • fresh herbs for garnish (such as rosemary and thyme)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture, and knead until smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise in a warm place for an hour.
  4. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  5. Shape the dough onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper, creating dimples with your fingers.
  6. Arrange the vegetables and herbs artfully on top of the dough.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
