1 pound ground beef
4 slices turkey bacon
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 egg
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
4 sub rolls
2 cups marinara sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped turkey bacon, breadcrumbs, parmesan, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into meatballs.
Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
While meatballs are baking, warm marinara sauce in a saucepan.
Once meatballs are done, place them in the sub rolls and top with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes to melt the cheese.
Notes
For extra flavor, add chopped fresh herbs to the meat mixture.
Substitute ground chicken or turkey for a lighter option.
