Easy and Creamy Tomato Garlic Pasta Recipe

  • 8 ounces pasta of your choice
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop once cooled.
  3. In the same skillet, add olive oil and garlic, sautéing until fragrant.
  4. Add diced tomatoes and Italian seasoning; simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Add the cooked pasta and bacon to the sauce, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  7. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, omit turkey bacon and use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth.
