  • 3 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 ½ cups beef broth
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 sandwich rolls
  • 1 cup sliced provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sear the beef on all sides.
  2. In a bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper; rub this mixture over the beef.
  3. Place the beef in the crockpot and add beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
  5. Shred the beef and serve on sandwich rolls topped with provolone cheese.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add sliced onions and bell peppers to the crockpot.
  • Serve with a side of au jus for dipping.
