  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 pound mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop.
  2. In the same pot, sauté the onions and celery until soft.
  3. Add the mushrooms and cook until browned.
  4. Sprinkle the flour over the vegetables and stir to combine.
  5. Gradually add the chicken broth, stirring continuously until thickened.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and chopped bacon, and season with salt and pepper.

  • For a vegetarian version, omit the turkey bacon and use vegetable broth.
