  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 4 tablespoons browned butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla, mixing well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.
  8. While cooling, prepare the browned butter frosting.
  9. Mix confectioners’ sugar and browned butter until smooth.
  10. Frost the cookies once they are completely cool.
