Best Beef Stroganoff

A delicious and creamy beef stroganoff that is perfect for a comforting meal at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 cups egg noodles, cooked

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the beef sirloin and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add onions and garlic and sauté until soft.
  4. Add mushrooms and cook until they are golden brown.
  5. Sprinkle flour over the mushroom mixture and stir to combine.
  6. Slowly add beef broth while stirring to avoid lumps.
  7. Return the beef to the skillet and stir in Worcestershire sauce.
  8. Lower the heat and mix in sour cream, stirring until heated through.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Serve over cooked egg noodles.

Notes

  • You can use other cuts of beef if desired.
  • For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream.
