A creamy and easy twist on traditional beef stroganoff using turkey bacon for extra flavor.

  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  3. Add the beef to the skillet and cook until browned; remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté onion, garlic, and mushrooms until tender.
  5. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute before adding beef broth and Worcestershire sauce; bring to a simmer.
  6. Add back the beef and turkey bacon, then stir in sour cream. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Combine with the cooked egg noodles and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, increase the amount of flour used.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or peas for added nutrition.
