Healthy and quick to make, these Banana Oatmeal Bars are perfect for busy days.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mash the ripe bananas.
  3. Mix in the oats, honey, vanilla, baking powder, and salt.
  4. If desired, fold in chopped nuts.
  5. Spread the mixture in a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
