  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (for streusel)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (for streusel)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (for streusel)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for streusel)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla; mix until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  6. Fold in the sour cream and walnuts.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  8. For the streusel topping, mix together the brown sugar, flour, butter, and cinnamon until crumbly and sprinkle over the batter.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before serving.
