Air Fryer Gingerbread Crinkle Cookies

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix brown sugar and butter until smooth. Add egg, molasses, and vanilla, and mix well.
  3. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until combined.
  4. Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
  6. Form tablespoon-sized balls of dough and roll in powdered sugar.
  7. Place them in the air fryer basket and cook for 8-10 minutes until they are puffed and cracked.
  8. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add chopped crystallized ginger.
  • Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket.
